Welcome DLP Friends!

Welcome Documented Life Project friends & Art-to-the-5th family

It's such an honor for me to be a DLP featured artist!! April is all about color safari: exploring inks & paints and the art challenge this week is watercolor (yay for me :)

Below is my interpretation.

I must confess. My video was going to be twice as long but I purposely kept the challenge simple and decided to post the other half of the video next week. My soul wanted to play and not stress over creating a detailed step-by-step tutorial.

Creating this video was so refreshing. I didn't have to edit things perfectly. It was published as is. Enjoy!

Tune in next Saturday, same time (April 11 at 8 a.m. EST) for Part 2: The Art Supplies along with a tour of Stephen's art journal!

Here's a sneak peek.

Gina- so glad you joined us. Your video is so inspiring and fun to watch. I loved the background you created with such freedom. I love that about watercolor! I can't wait for your next art color lesson at the Interweave store to release as I have the other three and have learned so much! I need the ENTIRE collection. You rock!

Gina, what a great video!! A simple, yet beautiful page! You really inspired me to take out my watercolors. I am not as experienced as you, but I love the idea of just spreading some juicy color around to see what comes about! I also really like the idea of the cut out shapes from beautiful watercolor backgrounds!! I think I can do that!!! Thank you for sharing!! Looking forward to next weekend's video!

Have loved your work for a long time - it makes me happier just to look at the colors and the subject. I wish you had a update link so I would receive email notices when you post. Love how your son is involved and have all three of your color classes so far!

Your background is so gorgeous and love the way the pieces are watercolored too. This is the first time I have heard you teach Gina and I must say... you have a talent. So calm and sweet and intelligently sufficient. I totally was able to relax and just enjoy every minute of your video. Just wonderful. Thank you so much for taking the time to share with us. j.
