My Studio is Featured on Alisa Burke's Blog!

Hi there! If you're arriving from Alisa's blog, welcome!!

You're just in time to enjoy a few of my finished watercolor/mixed-media pieces before I bind them into a sketchbook. There's nothing more satisfying than to hold a completed art journal that you've created. Well, coffee may be a stronger contender but it ranks up there!

I know Alisa has previously (and gorgeously) shared on her blog how she binds her sketchbooks. I myself have been using this binding matching for over 2 years now, and I must say, it has been one of the best art supply investments!

There's true freedom to be able to work on any size watercolor paper and in any order I want. And because I'm working on loose sheets, I can easily go to my sewing machine to add bits of mixed-media pieces...

...like this art tag. It's held inside a transparent pocket that I sewed with a simple straight-stitch.
[cute feather stamp designed by my friend, Rae]

That's Stephen. His smile says thank you for stopping by!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Alisa Burke. Honestly, I don't know where to begin. She is so lovely and she is so sweet. What a huge honor it is to have my studio featured on her blog today!

So, let's do a giveaway to help us celebrate! Please leave a comment over at Alisa's blog from now until midnight of Monday, February 2, 2015. And then be sure to check back here on:

Thursday, February 5th, 2015

Funny I have both you and Alysa on my blogroll list under 'fine art' section :). Reading the post on her blog I spotted a Canson watercolor spiral notebook. I was wondering how you like it. I am still testing different watercolor paper brands and that's the next on my list. By the way, I am in the struggling point of the learning curve :).

I have also come over from Alisa's blog. And oh my goodness, I absolutely love your work and your studio space. My favourite studio supply would have to be my .005 fineliners because I love detail. Thank you for this opportunity. Fingers crossed.

I just popped over from Alisas blog and I'm blown away from your painings. They are so lovely. I think you've got two new fans, me and my DD :-)
Thanks for the chance to win one of these cute little birdies. Hope they would fly to Australia too (just in case we win).

Cheers

I tried to leave a comment on Alisa's blog but it wouldn't work. Although I would love to win one of your amazing prints, I just want to say that I've been following your blog for the past 6 months and your work is simply stunning. The way you use colors is unique and I'm always drawn into the picture.
thank you for sharing your beautiful art!
